Thame Concert Band

Thame Concert Band was formed in 1993 and is made up of around twenty local musicians. We rehearse every Tuesday evening at Christchurch, High Street, Thame and produce several concerts and Fete performances every year.

Follow us on:

Our Conductor and Musical Director, Callum Rookes, is a member of the Band of the Coldstream Guards and has recently returned to lead the band after completing his training. In his absence, Becky Collis, also our principal trumpet player, has kept up Callum's good work in developing the band.

Our wide repertoire of over 400 pieces varies from show selections, film themes, popular classics and solo features. The band is a lively and friendly group of locals of all ages, backgrounds and musical abilities, and welcomes anyone wishing to join particularly in the brass and percussion sections. See the New Members page for further details. Come and listen to us, tell your friends, book us for your village fete or fund raising concert.

Thame Concert Band's next concert is our version of 'Last Night of the Proms' with all the music you'd expect and lots of flag waving! Come along on Saturday evening 9th September.
